When she lived in Durban, Mum had lovely neighbour,who became a very dear friend; this lady also had a daughter called Nancy, who now lives in Florida. Even though Mum left Durban in 1985, we have always kept in touch with friends from that time; sadly, Mum's friend died some years ago, but I still write to Nancy and she is such a lovely lady, it is wonderful to keep that contact.
I wrote an e-mail to Nancy, telling her about Mum's 100th birthday celebrations, and shortly after that, Mum was treated to a wonderful surprise, receiving a beautiful bouquet sent from America; she was so thrilled to have it.
There was a small problem with the address, as the first numeral of our house had been missed off! but the lady who delivered them, Molly, knocked at every door in the street, until she arrived at our front door - talk about perseverance! She told us, she was not going to give up until she found the right house, and was able to deliver the flowers to Mum.
Molly owns a shop called Molly's Flowers, and we are all agreed, that the next time we want some flowers for a special occasion, her shop will be the place we go to.
